The one-sentence version
Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) is a Medicaid program that lets an approved family member live with and care for a loved one at home, and be paid and professionally supported for doing it, instead of that person going to a facility.
Who's in the story
There are three characters in every SFC journey:
- The Young Hero, your child, the person receiving care.
- The Halo Hero, you, the approved caregiver who lives in the home.

What makes it different from a regular home-care agency
With a traditional agency, a rotating cast of aides comes and goes. With SFC, the caregiver is the person who already loves the child.
